Ukraine's defense forces carried out a precision strike on key Russian energy infrastructure, the Ukrainian General Staff said Tuesday.
The attack targeted the Ilsky Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar region, causing a large fire, according to the statement.
Two oil pumping stations – Kropotkinskaya and Andriapol – were also struck, leaving them inoperative.
The facilities played a key role in transporting fuel for Russian forces, and their destruction is expected to disrupt military logistics, said the statement.
Russian authorities have yet to comment and independent verification of claims remains difficult due to the conflict.
