Vestas received a 39-megawatt order for an undisclosed project in Italy, the company announced on Thursday.
The contract includes the supply and installation of eleven wind turbines as well as a 15-year active output management service agreement.
Turbine delivery is expected in the second quarter of next year, whilst commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter.
Since installing its first turbine in Italy in 1991, Vestas has led the country's wind industry with over 4.3 gigawatts of installed capacity, being the main contributor to the expansion of the country's wind energy with a 40% market share.
