Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 6.8% to 332 thousand tonnes in August compared to the same month of 2018, according to the latest data revealed by the country's energy watchdog on Thursday.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that imports to Turkey came from Algeria, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Norway, Turkey's Free Trade Zone, Russia, Libya, Malta, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K.
Turkey's LPG production decreased in August to approximately 88 thousand tonnes - a year-on-year decrease of 7%.
Exports increased by nearly 5.1% to 2.3 thousand tonnes this August compared to August 2018.
Total LPG sales rose by approximately 432 thousand tonnes in August -- a 1.35% increase, including 355 thousand tonnes of autogas, 70 thousand tonnes of bottled LPG, and 7 thousand tonnes of bulk LPG.
