Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production increased year-on-year by 18% to 1.08 million tons in 2019, according to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) latest report on Friday.
EMRA's LPG Market Report 2019 showed the country's LPG imports decreased by 6.1% to 3.1 million tons. Algeria, the US, Kazakhstan, Norway and Russia topped the list of the 20 countries and regions where Turkey imported LPG.
The country's LPG exports also declined by 8.9% year-on-year to 100,225 tonnes in 2019. The top five countries that Turkey exported LPG to were Switzerland, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Lebanon, Greece and Egypt.
Meanwhile, total LPG sales reached 4.2 million, of which 3.4 million tons came from autogas sales, 728,643 tons from bottled LPG and 94,540 tons from bulk LPG.
