Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 20.6% to 299,474 tonnes in June compared to the same month of 2021, according to the latest data from the country's energy watchdog.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that the country's imports originated from Algeria, the US, Russia and Kazakhstan.
LPG production in May increased to 102,505 tonnes, marking a year-on-year rise of 7.5%.
Exports also rose to around 31,241 tonnes in June, showing a jump of 338.5% compared to the same month last year.
Total LPG sales in June decreased by 14.7% to around 307,344 tonnes, comprising 251,861 tonnes of autogas, 46,861 tonnes of bottled LPG, and 8,622 tonnes of bulk LPG.
