Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 8.1% to 219,435 tonnes in May compared to the same month of 2021, according to the latest data from the country's energy watchdog.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that the country's imports originated from Algeria, the US, Kazakhstan, Russia and Greece.
LPG production in May increased to 98,532 tonnes, marking a year-on-year rise of 13.1%.
Exports also rose to around 32,204 tonnes in May, showing a jump of 46.3% compared to the same month last year.
Total LPG sales in May increased by 21.6% to around 330,177 tonnes, comprising 270,307 tonnes of autogas, 52,796 tonnes of bottled LPG, and 7,073 tonnes of bulk LPG.
