French energy company Engie has said Russian energy company Gazprom is set to tighten gas supplies starting Tuesday.
'Gazprom has informed the Engie group of the reduction in its gas deliveries, starting today, due to a disagreement between the parties on the application of contracts,' the statement said.
The company reiterated that Gazprom's deliveries for Engie had fallen considerably since the start of the war in Ukraine.
Engie has already secured the volumes necessary for ensuring the supply for its customers and for its own needs, the company said.
The French utility firm also noted that it set up a series of measures to significantly reduce the direct financial and physical impacts that could result from an interruption of gas deliveries by Gazprom.
