Heart of energy to beat in Istanbul one more time

- International LPG market will meet in Istanbul next year as the city hosts worldwide energy events

Istanbul is ready to host ‘the 29th World Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, Forum and the 2016 European LPG Association Congress on Sept. 27-29 2016.

'We are very excited about the event. Several hundred members of the industry will meet in Istanbul for three days and government officials will also be invited,' said Paul Ladner, the European LPG Association, AEGPL‘s president.

The World LPG Forum is the premier annual global event for the LPG industry and the AEGPL Congress brings the European LPG industry together every year. Two annual events will be rolled into one exceptional LPG conference and exhibition.

'I’m sure the event will also be very important for the Turkish LPG industry also. There will be leading companies in the LPG industry worldwide participating. Manufacturers, producers, distributors and new technologies will be introduced there which will help customers use energy more wisely. It should be an exciting time,' Ladner told Anadolu Agency.

Turkey consumes more than 3.7 million tons of LPG annually. It is the biggest autogas market in Europe and the second after South Korea worldwide.

'For policy makers and government officials, the event in which the panels will include experts from the industry will be a great opportunity,' Ladner said, and added that the event will discuss trends and the future of the industry while providing business opportunities there.
