Russia's LNG exports up 48.9% in Jan-Aug

- LNG export volumes from Russia increases by 48.9% to 39.9 billion cubic meters in Jan-Aug compared to same period of 2018

The volume of liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from Russia increased by 48.9% and reached 39.9 billion cubic meters (bcm) from January to August 2019 compared to the same period last year, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia on Tuesday.

TASS News Agency reported that Gazprom's subsidiary, Sakhalin Energy, and Novatek's joint stock company, Yamal LNG, increased their combined LNG export revenue by 46.2% to $5.51 billion between January and August 2019 compared to the same period last year.

In August, the volume of LNG exports increased by 17.6% compared to June to 5.6 bcm generating $549.6 million in revenue.
