Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 14.8 percent to 288.6 thousand tons in September 2016 compared to the same month last year, according to a report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released Friday.
Imports to Turkey came from six different countries in September 2016 - Algeria, Russia, Norway, Kazakhstan, the U.S. and France.
Turkey's total LPG production decreased by 3.8 percent to over 74.1 thousand tons in September 2016 compared to the same month of 2015.
In addition, its LPG exports fell by 17 percent to 13.7 thousand tons in September. Among the countries which imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Switzerland, Tunisia and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, according to the report.
In Turkey, total sales of LPG hit 387.6 thousand tons including 302.8 thousand tons of auto gas, 74.1 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 10.5 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
