Ankara ranked first in having the biggest share of Turkey's total LPG sales in June with 10.75 percent, according to Turkish Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) on Friday.
While the capital city ranked first in most LPG sales, Turkey's most populated city Istanbul came in second and Turkey's third city Izmir and the central Anatolian city of Konya ranked third and fourth.
In June, 37.2 thousand tons of LPG was sold in Ankara, 28.6 thousand tons in Istanbul, 25.1 thousand tons in Izmir and 12.8 thousand tons of LPG in Konya.
Ankara also ranked first in autogas sales.
The city bought 33.7 thousand tons of autogas, while Istanbul bought 21.4 thousand, Izmir's sales reached 14.2 thousand and Konya with 10.7 thousand.
In Turkey there are around 11 million vehicles, 4.3 million of which use autogas as fuel.
