Turkey's liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports fell by 32.25 percent in May 2016, compared to the same period of last year, according to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority, EMRA.
Turkish energy watchdog EMRA's report for Turkey's natural gas sector in May shows that Turkey imported 480.3 million cubic meters of LNG in May 2015, while it decreased to 325.4 million cubic meters of LNG in May 2016.
According to the report, Turkey imported 219.1 million cubic meters of LNG from Algeria and 106.3 million cubic meters LNG from Nigeria in May 2016.
In addition, Turkey's total natural gas imports decreased by 3.6 percent in May compared to May 2015.
Turkey's total natural gas imports fell from 3.33 billion cubic meter (bcm) in May 2015 to 3.21 bcm in May 2016.
