Spanish energy company Natural Gas Fenosa reported a net profit of €329 million in the first quarter of 2016, 8.7 percent less than the same period of 2015, the company announced on Wednesday.
Fenosa said that its profit fell due to macroeconomics factors and the challenging energy environment.
The company said that it foresees improvements in the second quarter of 2016.
The Spanish company's EBITDA [earnings before interest taxes depreciation and amortization] also fell by 3.4 percent to €1.2 million, compared to the same period of 2015.
