Türkiye's total oil imports increased by 10.1% to 3.93 million tons in April 2022, according to data released by the country's energy watchdog on Tuesday.
Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, rose by 15.5% in April to 3.16 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.
In April, Türkiye imported the majority of its oil and oil product needs from Russia, totaling 1.39 million tons. Iraq and Saudi Arabia followed with 1.83 tons and 284,018 tons, respectively.
Oil refinery product exports increased by 34.4% to 1.193 million tons, while output also rose by 11.5% to 3.23 million tons in April.
Total domestic oil product sales fell by 0.71% year on year in April to 2.43 million tons.
