Türkiye's LPG production down 4.3% in December 2024

- Country's LPG imports and exports fall by 29.9% and 53.5%, respectively, in December 2024, latest industry report reveals

​​​​​Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production decreased by 4.3% to 84,709 tons in December 2024, compared to the same month in 2023, according to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) latest report on Thursday.

EMRA's LPG market report showed that the country's LPG imports fell by 29.9%, reaching 249,219 tons in December 2024, with the majority of imports coming from Algeria, Russia, the US, Libya, Georgia, and the United Arab Emirates.

While the country's LPG exports fell by 53.5% year-on-year, to 28,336 tons in December 2024.

The top ten destinations for Türkiye's LPG exports were Ukraine, Bulgaria, Northern Cyprus, Romania, Poland, Marshall Islands, Switzerland, Germany, Türkiye and Lebanon.

Total LPG sales reached 321,035 tons in December 2024.
