Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.92% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 891,210 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 42,492 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 29,749 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 877,785 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of 0.40% compared to Tuesday.
Natural gas plants contributed 33.4% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite power plants supplied 26.8% and 12.6%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,799 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 20,226 megawatt-hours.
