Turkey's large energy potential has been displayed to global sector players through the hosting of the sixth World Forum on Energy Regulation in Istanbul, Enerjisa president said in a written statement on Thursday.
'As one of the leading players of the sector, we support the World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER) in which important topics such as energy access rights, improvement of investment environment, transparency of regulatory rules and regulations concerning all players in the sector are discussed,' Yetik K. Mert said.
The Energy Markets Regulatory Authority (EMRA) in Turkey hosting the conference is 'invaluable in terms of informing the global sector players how big the potential of Turkey's energy sector is,' Mert added.
The 6th World Forum on Energy Regulation is the leading conference in the world on energy regulation. Enerjisa, one of Turkey's leading energy conglomerates, is one of the leading sponsors of the conference while Anadolu Agency is the global communications sponsor.
The head of EMRA, on behalf of Enerjisa presented a plaque to Mert for the company's support during the forum event.
Over the past four days, energy companies, specialists, academicians and politicians have participated in WFER, along with all local stakeholders of public and private sector, senior representatives and energy regulators.
