Turkey's LPG production rises in July, says EMRA

Turkey’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production rose by 15 percent to around 62,756 tons in July 2014, according to the Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

According to the report released by EMRA, Turkey's refineries’ total LPG production rose by 15 percent and exports decreased by 2.5 percent to about 269,768 tons.

Turkey imported LPG from seven different countries in July 2014 - Russia, Algeria, Norway, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, France and Italy, the majority of which came from Russia with 74,754 tons, Algeria with 62,883 tons and Norway with 55,563 tons.

Turkey's LPG exports dropped by 10 percent to about 1,635 tons in July and only the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey's free trade areas made any imports, the report said.

262,480 tons of autogas was sold in Turkey over the same period in 2014. Additionally, 70,280 tons of bottled LPG were sold to Turkish customers and 5,049 tons of bulk LPG.
