Türkiye's LPG production down 29.5% in March

- EMRA's March data show rises in both LPG imports and exports by 48% and 43%, respectively

​​​​​​​Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production decreased year on year in March by 29.5% to 77,278 tons, according to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) latest report on Thursday.

EMRA's LPG Market Report showed the country's LPG imports increased by 48% to 301,098 tons in March, with imports from Algeria, Russia, the US and Kazakhstan.

The country's LPG exports increased by 43% to 34,060 tons during the same month. The top five countries that Türkiye exported LPG to were Switzerland, Lebanon, the Seychelles, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria and the Turkish Free Zones.

Meanwhile, total LPG sales reached 342,686 million tons, of which 76.6% came from autogas sales, 13.5% from bottled LPG and 9.8% from bulk LPG.
