The Kuwait National Petroleum Company has sent the first batch of diesel designed for the European market, the company announced on Wednesday.
On board the tanker Polar Ace, around 38,000 tons of diesel that 'conforms to international environmental standards and specifications and is suitable for cold weather' were shipped on Monday from the country’s Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, the company said in a statement.
The EU countries are set to impose a fresh ban on Russia’s oil products on Feb. 5, just three months after they banned Russia’s oil exports. Along with the G7 countries, the bloc will also set a price ceiling for these products.
