One Israeli killed in West Bank attack
Three other Israelis were injured in the attack
JERUSALEM
An Israeli was killed in a shooting attack in the northern West Bank on Sunday, according to Israeli authorities.
A military statement said a Palestinian stabbed an Israeli soldier at the entrance of the Ariel settlement before stealing his weapon.
According to the statement, the attacker then drove his car to the Gitai Avishar junction and opened fire on Israelis at a bus station.
Israel's national emergency agency, Megan David Adom, said one Israeli was killed and three others critically injured in the attack.
Israeli forces launched a manhunt for the attacker.
Following the attack, Israeli forces closed the entrances to a number of Palestinian towns in the northern West Bank, according to local residents.
