Normalcy returns to Afrin
AFRIN, SYRIA - MARCH 19: Civilians return to Afrin town center, who fled their homes due to oppression and cruelty of YPG/PKK terror groups after Turkish Armed Forces and Free Syrian Army (FSA) took complete control of northwestern Syria's Afrin from PKK/KCK/PYD-YPG and Daesh terror groups within the "Operation Olive Branch" on March 19, 2018. "Afrin town center was completely taken control of at 8.30 a.m.," Erdogan said during his address at the ceremony of 103rd anniversary of Gallipoli Campaign. Troops entered the town center from east, west and north sides. According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation aims to establish security and stability along Turkey's borders and the region as well as protect Syrians from terrorist cruelty and oppression.
