Turkish President Abdullah Gul attended 3rd Bosphorus Regional Cooperation Summit International Cooperation Platform's (ICP) meeting in Istanbul via tele-conference from the Cankaya Presidential Residence in the Turkish capital, Ankara on Thursday.
Turkish President Gul stated that the region of Eurasia became the center of gravity for the balance of global power.
He stressed, he believes that the placement of successful cooperation mechanisms in the region, will become a concrete example for the new global order.
He noted that he supported ICP since its establishment in 2010. He added that ICP was set up with the consciousness as politics and economics of today was changing and cooperation and being multi sided was a need.
Speaking at the Bosphorus Regional Cooperation Summit, Gul said that the fields of energy, trade and security in the Eurasia region have numerous cooperation potentials.
He said that there are high potentials that the modern "Silk Way" can enlighten the humanity as it did in the past.
Gul highlighted that the assessment and discussions of the topics in the summit such as economy, trade, investments, culture, urban transformation, women rights and security of the food have importance.
Lastly, he said, he wished that the projects and suggestions will bring an important synergy to the Eurasia region.
