WASHINGTON 

US President-elect Donald Trump gathered with potential candidates Wednesday for his second administration and is expected to announce key appointments in the coming days, according to a report.

Trump has prepared a series of executive orders, policy proposals and regulatory rollbacks to implement on his first day in office, CNN reported, citing sources familiar with his transition planning, signaling a swift start to his agenda.

Many of those hoping for roles in Trump’s administration attended his victory celebrations Tuesday night in Palm Beach, Florida and have reportedly delayed their departures or adjusted travel plans to remain in the area.

Trump surpassed the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win reelection early Wednesday and currently stands at 295 to Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris' 226, according to The Associated Press.

Harris conceded the election in a speech at Howard University, her alma mater, on Wednesday, reaffirming her commitment to the ideals of "freedom, opportunity, fairness, and the dignity of all people."
