ALGIERS
Two pilots were killed as an Algerian military fighter jet crashed early Tuesday in the country’s northeast, local media reported.
Sukhoi Su-30 crashed in the Ain Zitoun town of Oum el-Bouaghi province, Ennahar TV said in a report.
The cause of the incident remains unclear.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered condolences to the families of the pilots.
"I offer my condolences to myself and the families of the pilots, the victim of the tragic accident of the military training plane crash in Oum el-Bouaghi," Tebboune said on Twitter.
