45 people killed as bus crashes off bridge in South Africa
Driver lost control after hitting barriers on bridge, transport department says
JOHANNESBURG
At least 45 people died Thursday evening when a passenger bus fell off a bridge in South Africa’s northern Limpopo province, police said.
The bus is believed to have been transporting passengers from Botswana to Moria in Limpopo where a huge annual eastern religious gathering takes place.
The transport department said the driver lost control after hitting barriers on the bridge.
