Beninese president to visit Turkey on Thursday

ANKARA

Beninese President Patrice Talon will pay a visit to Turkey on Thursday upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish presidency said on Wednesday.

Erdogan and Talon will discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on the regional and international issues, the presidency said in a statement.

"The visit is expected to contribute more to the enhancement and diversification of the close relations with Benin," it added.

Beninese businessman Talon won the country’s presidential election by securing 65.39 percent votes in 2016.
