Congo Republic’s President Denis Sassou Nguesso has been re-elected for another five-year term in the Sunday’s election, according to official provisional results announced by the country's interior minister on Tuesday.

Sassou Nguesso, 77, secured 88.57% of the vote, followed by his main rival Guy-Brice Parfait Kolelas (7.84%), who died on Monday in France, Raymond Zephirin Mboulou said.
