RABAT, Morocco

Protesters marched in Morocco and Iraq in solidarity with Palestinians and against the Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip, which has caused thousands of civilian casualties.

During a protest in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh called for by several non-governmental organizations, protesters carried Palestinian flags and banners in support of the Palestinian cause.

According to video clips posted on social media by participants, the protesters chanted slogans against the war on Gaza and in support of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood launched by the Palestinian Hamas group on Oct. 7.

Another massive protest took place in the capital, Rabat, according to an Anadolu correspondent.

In the Iraqi city of Kirkuk, a group of journalists gathered in front of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate building and turned off their cameras in a symbolic expression of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza and against a recent series of attacks on journalists reporting in the region.
