Roadside bomb blast kills 3 in Somali capital

MOGADISHU, Somalia
Two security personnel and a pedestrian were killed and three others wounded in a roadside bomb blast targeting military vehicles in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on Wednesday.
The attack took place in Mogadishu’s Daynile neighborhood and was caused by a roadside bomb explosion that killed two security personnel and one civilian, Ali Ahmed, a security official in Mogadishu, told Anadolu over the phone.
Three other people were injured in the blast and taken to hospitals for treatment.
He said police and personnel of other security agencies arrived at the scene and began an investigation into the incident.
Al-Shabaab, a terrorist group that has been fighting the government and African Union peacekeepers since 2007, claimed responsibility for the attack.
