MOGADISHU, Somalia

A roadside bomb explosion killed two civilians on board a passenger minibus and injured several others in Somalia’s central Mudug region, an official said on Friday.

Abdi Mohamed, a local security official, told Anadolu Agency over the phone that the driver and his assistant was killed in the explosion and that the vehicle is completely destroyed.

Mohamed blamed al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Shabaab terrorist group for the explosion.
