ANKARA
The head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, arrived in Ankara to attend the funeral of his son who died in a traffic accident in the Cankaya district of Türkiye.
Burhan was welcomed at the Esenboga Airport by Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz early Saturday.
Mohamed A. Fattah al-Burhan died Friday after he was injured when he hit a vehicle with his motorcycle. He was being treated at Bilkent City Hospital.
His funeral will be held at noon at the Karsiyaka Mosque, followed by the funeral prayer. He will be buried at the Karsiyaka Cemetery.
Yilmaz will also attend the funeral.
