Turkey will host education ministers from 38 African countries in an effort to discuss handing over of schools linked to Terrorist Organization (FETO), an official said Saturday.
Funda Kocabiyik, and Foreign Affairs Director-General at the Turkish National Education Ministry, said the conference will be held in Istanbul from Oct 19-21.
The top agenda of the meeting will be to improve ties between Turkey and African countries on educational issues, signing of cooperation agreements, and handing over of the FETO schools in Africa to Turkey, she added.
Ankara accuses FETO and its U.S.-based leader Gulen of orchestrating last July's defeated coup, that left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 others wounded.
The government also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, and judiciary.
