Turkish foreign minister meets with Chinese counterpart in South Africa
On side of G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Hakan Fidan and Wang Yi discuss bilateral political, economic ties, key regional issues

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The two ministers discussed bilateral political and economic relations, evaluating opportunities for further cooperation, according to sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The talks also covered regional issues such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the recent situation in Syria, and developments in war-torn Gaza. Their discussion included global security issues in the context of recent international developments.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on threats to international stability.
