3 killed in medical helicopter crash in Mississippi
Pilot and 2 hospital workers were on board, but not a patient, says University of Mississippi Medical Center

WASHINGTON
Three people were killed Monday when a medical transport helicopter crashed in Madison County in the US state of Mississippi.
"Earlier this afternoon, AirCare 3, our Columbus-based medical transport helicopter, had an accident in rural Madison County, north of the Reservoir. Sadly, there were no survivors," the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) said in a statement.
The pilot and two hospital workers were on board, but not a patient, it said.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said it is launching a go-team to investigate the crash.
"Team is expected to arrive tomorrow," it said on X.
