Bernie Sanders warns of ‘Putin-Trump Alliance’ undermining democracy
‘Trump and his American oligarchs are now openly aligning themselves with Putin and his Russian oligarchs,’ says US senator

WASHINGTON
US Sen. Bernie Sanders accused President Donald Trump and his allies of aligning with Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning that such an alliance threatens democratic values and international alliances.
"Trump and his American oligarchs are now openly aligning themselves with Putin and his Russian oligarchs," Sanders wrote Monday on X. "This Putin-Trump alliance means abandoning our allies, supporting authoritarianism and undermining our democratic traditions."
Sanders’ post came after Trump slammed his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as a "Dictator without Elections."
"A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left. In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only 'TRUMP,' and the Trump Administration, can do,” Trump wrote on TruthSocial.
Zelenskyy accused Trump of being caught in a "space of disinformation," saying he hopes Trump’s team gets a clearer understanding of the "truth about Ukraine."
