Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has settled accusations that he raped a woman in a New York City hotel a decade ago, according to media reports Tuesday.

The reports noted that jury selection in the case in question was canceled because of “resolving the issue between the parties.”

Gooding was accused of raping a woman in a New York hotel in August 2013.

The plaintiff, who did not want her name to be disclosed in the petition, citing privacy reasons, demanded $6 million in damages from the actor.

Gooding denied the allegations, arguing that his relationship with the woman was consensual.

In April 2022, in another lawsuit, the actor pleaded guilty to forcibly kissing a woman at a bar in the city in 2018.

After completing six months of alcohol and behavioral counseling, Gooding was permitted to withdraw his plea and plead guilty to a non-criminal harassment violation, eliminating his criminal record.
