Employees of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) forcibly entered the US Institute of Peace (USIP), the organization’s acting president and CEO said Monday.

“DOGE has broken into our building," said George Moose.

Police cars were outside the Washington, DC headquarters, according to local media.

On Friday, DOGE members arrived at the building with two FBI agents but left after the institute’s lawyer told them that USIP has a “private and independent status."

Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who leads DOGE, is helping to cut US government spending and government contracts.
