The U.S., Canada and Mexico will jointly host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Congress announced in Moscow on Wednesday.
A total of 67 percent of the FIFA Congress voted for the united request from the three countries.
This will be the first time in history that the World Cup would take place in three countries simultaneously.
The U.S. and Mexico had earlier hosted the FIFA World Cup separately; Mexico in 1970 and 1986, and the U.S. in 1994.
