'We will take all necessary measures to defend our people against those who are responsible for the attacks and will respond at a time and place of our choosing,' says CENTCOM
ISTANBUL
The US military has announced that it conducted airstrikes in Syria against Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and associated groups.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Thursday on social media platform X that airstrikes had targeted a facility used by the IRGC and associated groups.
"We will take all necessary measures to defend our people against those who are responsible for the attacks and will respond at a time and place of our choosing," it added.
The statement said airstrikes were carried out in response to attacks on US citizens in Syria and Iraq, but it did not specify the exact location in Syria where they occurred or provide details about the outcome.
