NEW YORK
US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and his deputy Jon Finer met with representatives of the Arab and Muslim American communities on Sunday.
The representatives “shared a range of experiences, suggestions and concerns" during the sessions, the White House said in a statement.
The statement also noted that Sullivan and Finer provided information about US efforts to facilitate humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza in collaboration with the UN, Israel, Egypt, Jordan and other regional countries, emphasizing the need to facilitate access to water, food and medical treatment.
"Sullivan and Finer reiterated President (Joe) Biden’s remarks that there is no place in America for hatred of any community and they discussed with participants how the federal government can support affected communities," the statement added.
