US runs foreign trade deficit of $78.2B in November

ISTANBUL

The US posted a foreign trade deficit of $78.2 billion in November, increasing 6.2% month-on-month, the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) announced Tuesday.

Exports totaled $273.4 billion in November, up 2.7%, while imports amounted to $351.6 billion, and increase of 3.4%, the BEA stated.

Services exports of the country increased $0.9 billion to $95.8 billion in November versus October.

"Year-to-date, the goods and services deficit increased $93.9 billion, or 13.0 percent, from the same period in 2023," said the BEA

Exports increased $111.5 billion, or 4%, while imports rose $205.3 billion, or 5.8%, on a yearly basis.
