The US Department of State said on Monday that it has approved a possible sale to Tunisia of equipment in support of its Border Security Project Phase III.
The total estimated cost is $95 million, the department said in a statement.
"The proposed sale will improve Tunisia’s long-term defense capacity to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to meet its national defense requirements," it added.
The principal contractors will be L3 Harris, located in Florida; and Toyota, located in Texas.
