Venezuelan Communications Minister Jorge Rodriguez presented on Friday an audio recording of an alleged conversation between opposition figures, Juan Guaido and Sergio Vergara, with the former Green Beret and owner of the Silvercorp USA contractor, Jordan Goudreau.

In the alleged recording, they presumably planned the May 3 failed maritime raid called "Operation Gideon.”

The opposition leader thanks Goudreau for "all the efforts" he is making for the Venezuelan "cause" and says he has the contract ready to be signed.

In the audio, Goudreau asks Guaido if he has any questions or concerns to which Guaido answers that he has “a lot of concerns” but says they “are doing the right thing for their country.”

“We are in a very hard humanitarian crisis and we have to resolve this situation,” Guaido is heard saying. They they proceed to signing the document, although its content is not disclosed.

On Friday morning Venezuela's Chief Prosecutor Tarek William Saab announced his office requested arrest warrants against US military veteran Goudreau and Vergara, who took part in the recordings unveiled by the government.

Goudreau has claimed he organized and trained the mercenary force to carry out the operation that was aimed at overthrowing the government of Nicolas Maduro.

Saab said that the Public Prosecutor's Office will request for Florida-based Goudreau and Vergara to be arrested by Interpol and extradited to Venezuela.
