66 COCAINE CAPSULES FOUND IN DRUG MULE'S STOMACH
ISTANBUL- A foreign drug smuggler, who swallowed 66 bags of cocaine to get through customs at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, was arrested, officials said on Monday.

Police officers became suspicious as an Ecuadoran was trying to enter Turkey at the airport. They carried out X-ray on his stomach and discovered 700 grams of cocaine in 66 capsules.
Cocaine capsules were taken out following a two-day medication at the hospital, officials said.
The suspect told the police that he met a drug lord at a party he attended in Colombia and that he was asked to carry cocaine to Istanbul for 5,000 USD. The suspect said he swallowed the capsules in Colombia and then headed to Ecuador to fly to Istanbul.
The Ecuadoran man will stand trial in an Istanbul court following legal procedures, officials said.
