Russian Proton-M rocket carrying three satellites for its Glonass global positioning and navigation network fell and exploded shortly after its launch early Tuesday.

The launch which was broadcasted live took place at the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan.

Just after its launch, it was seen that the rocket carrying the Glonass-M satellite fell to the ground near the launch site and exploded.

First initials reported there were no casualties in where the rocket fell and an investigation and research kicked off in regards to the incident.

Back in 2010, Russia lost three Glonass satellites crashed in the Pacific Ocean. The rocket was equipped with a DM-3 booster and a successful launch was placed from Plesets space base.
