ALEPPO
A senior commander of the al-Qaeda-linked militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) has been killed during a clash in Aleppo with the Free Syrian Army (FSA), sources report.
While the activists in the Syrian city of Aleppo confirmed commander Hadji Bakr's death, the militant group has yet to make a statement on the issue.
Local sources confirmed that ISIL captured a former Syrian army compound which was controlled by the FSA after a week-long conflict in Aleppo.
Following the capture of the compound, the FSA intensified its attacks against ISIL and maintained control of some points in Ar-Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo.
