Kanter, who will play forward, will wear jersey number zero.
2.11-meter (6-foot-11) Kanter has become a teammate of Mehmet Okur, another Turkish basketball player.
Our priority will be to carry Utah to play-offs, Kanter told reporters.
Kanter who was born in 1992 said that it was a big chance to play in the same position and the same team with Mehmet Okur, expressing belief that Okur would teach him a lot.
Turkey has now six players in NBA with Hidayet Turkoglu, Mehmet Okur, Ersan Ilyasova, Semih Erden, Omer Asik and Enes Kanter. Among the countries which have most players in NBA, Turkey is now on the second rank behind France which has 11 players.

With the draft of Kanter, for the first time two Turkish players will play in the same team in NBA.
