6.9 magnitude earthquake hits Japan
No loss of life or infrastructure damage reported yet

ANKARA
A 6.9 magnitude earthquake jolted the Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific Ocean, south of Tokyo, on Saturday with no immediate reports of loss of life or infrastructure damage, the country’s meteorological agency said.
Tremors were also felt in the northeastern Japanese prefectures of Miyagi and Fukushima, Ibaraki, Chiba and Saitama, near the capital Tokyo, according to Kyodo News.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
