Armenia launches probe into Yerevan police station attack
3 individuals attempted to break into police station in Nor Nork district of Armenia's capital

Armenia on Monday launched a criminal probe into the attack on a police station in the capital city of Yerevan.
The Armenian Interior Ministry said in a statement that criminal proceedings were filed against individuals who attempted to break into a police station in the Nor Nork district of Yerevan on Sunday.
According to the statement, at 5:00 pm local time (1300GMT), the three individuals, armed with grenades, approached the station and threatened to detonate the building.
The statement said that a police officer closed the window of the station, prompting one of the assailants to throw a hand grenade, injuring two of the three attackers.
The third individual, who threatened to blow up the building, was later subdued by the ministry police and officers from Armenia's national security service.
